• Ability to promote welfare and safety of children.
• Willingness to participate in continuous professional development.

Responsibilities

• Promote welfare and safety of children and report safeguarding concerns.
• Assist planning and delivery of purposeful play per early years foundation stage.
• Support children’s individual needs with parents and staff.
• Encourage healthy life choices through play.
• Engage in ongoing CPD with mentor during apprenticeship.
• Support communication of child development with children needing extra support.
• Support children through transitions (school, birth of a sibling).
• Carry out respectful routines such as feeding, nappy changes, dental care.
• Contribute to apprenticeship deliverables and meet deadlines with trainer assessor.
