We are an international organization operating in India, USA, and the UK. All our UK nurseries are rated Good or Outstanding by Ofsted and are based in London and Windsor. We are growing steadily, opening 1-2 new nurseries each year. At Kido, we blend practices from Montessori, Reggio Emilia, and Waldorf Steiner approaches, offering a unique curriculum for children aged 3 months to 5 years. We believe that a mix of free and structured play, an engaging environment, and loving care provide a strong foundation for children’s early years.

What we offer:

On Level 2 Apprenticeship
  • A salary of £18,200 for a full-time, 40-hour week role.
  • Salary increases to £26,000 upon qualification.
On Level 3 Apprenticeship
  • A starting salary of £19,240 for a full-time, 40-hour week role.
  • An increase to £21,320 after achieving Level 2 competency, typically within 2 months.
  • A pay uplift to the minimum wage for age in the second year of apprenticeship.
  • Post-qualification salary of at least £26,499 plus a £500 bonus paid in two installments.

Additional benefits include 20 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing to 30 days after 5 years, your birthday off, childcare discounts, referral bonuses, enhanced sick pay, performance-related pay increases, career progression opportunities, social events, healthcare plans, early access to wages, discounted travel Oyster cards, retail discounts, employee support programs, and a cycle-to-work scheme.

We support your development to prepare you for other roles within our growing nursery group.

Role overview:

As an Apprentice, you will gain practical experience supporting a safe and inspiring environment for children, working towards a recognized early years qualification. The Level 3 course takes about 1.5 years, with flexible progress towards Level 2 sign-off. The role is work-based, with dedicated time for learning and study.

Your main responsibilities include supporting the team in delivering engaging activities aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), communicating effectively with children, parents, and colleagues, ensuring safeguarding, participating in mealtimes, and assisting with daily nursery operations. We value diversity and encourage flexibility and dedication to meet each child's needs.

Candidate requirements:

  • No prior qualifications needed for Level 3 but a genuine passion for Early Years and Childcare is essential.
  • Some experience with children, preferably in a nursery setting.
  • Right to work in the UK and UK residency for at least 3 years.
  • GCSEs in Maths and English are desirable; otherwise, a Level 2 Functional Skills in these subjects or current Level 1 equivalent is required.
  • Alignment with our core values: Listen, Learn, Lead.
  • Shortlisted candidates will need to disclose unspent convictions and undergo an enhanced DBS check, in line with our safer recruitment policies.
