Job summary

The Nursery School Storrington is seeking an Apprentice Educator to join our caring team while you study for a Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship.

You will support the nursery's daily routines, help plan activities, observe children aged 0-5, and promote inclusion and safe practice.

This 30-hour-per-week role offers on-the-job training, 31 days of holidays, a birthday day off, uniform, and opportunities for personal and professional development.

Qualifications

• Experience with children aged 0-5 preferred but not essential.
• GCSE English and/or Maths Level 4+ preferred but not essential.
• Personal qualities: passion for working with children, reliability, flexibility.
• Ability to work in a team and communicate with families and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Support nursery activities and learning experiences.
• Assist with planning, preparation of activities, and liaising with parents.
• Record observations and assist in monitoring children's development.
• Supervise meals and mealtimes; assist with food preparation for babies where appropriate.
• Adhere to policies on allergies, sleep, inclusion and equality.
