Job summary

Daisy Fays Nurseries in Cornwall is seeking an apprentice to support early years education for children aged 0–5 years. You will assist with daily care, deliver EYFS activities, and help create a safe, engaging learning environment.

Applicants should be committed to completing an apprenticeship, enthusiastic about childcare, and possess GCSEs or be willing to obtain them. DBS and Paediatric First Aid training will be provided if needed.

Qualifications

• Interest in Early Years education and childcare.
• Commitment to completing an apprenticeship programme.
• GCSE Maths & English (Grade 4/C or above) or willingness to obtain.
• Enhanced DBS check and Paediatric First Aid training provided where required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the day-to-day care of children aged 0–5 years.
• Support delivery of activities in line with the EYFS framework.
• Contribute to a safe, clean, and stimulating learning environment.
• Support children’s development through play and structured activities.
• Build professional relationships with parents and carers.
• Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery policies.
• Complete apprenticeship coursework alongside practical learning.
