Job summary

Bright Horizons Sonning Lane Nursery and Pre School in Reading is seeking an Early Years Apprentice. You will work as part of a team to care for babies and children up to 5 years old, engaging them through play and learning activities.

You will train and study with guidance from an assessor to complete your formal qualification, reflecting on practice and using feedback to improve development and learning. DBS checks are required.

Qualifications

• Commitment to completing your apprenticeship.
• English qualification GCSE Grade C / Level 4 or above or Functional Skills Level 2.
• If not already held, a willingness to complete alongside your apprenticeship.
• Previous experience working with children beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Look after babies and children up to age 5 as part of a team.
• Engage children in interactive play, activities and reading to support learning.
• Attend training and coursework for completion of your formal qualification with assessor support.
