Job summary

Bright Horizons Northgate House Day Nursery and Preschool is hiring an Early Years Apprentice to care for children up to age 5. You’ll join a supportive team, participate in engaging activities, and progress through a formal apprenticeship with training and supervision from an assessor.

You will complete required coursework, gain practical experience, and contribute to a positive learning environment for young children at the nursery in Knotty Green.

Qualifications

• Commitment to completing your apprenticeship.
• English qualification at GCSE Level 4 or above or Functional Skills Level 2.
• Previous experience with children is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Look after babies and children up to age 5 as part of a team.
• Engage in interactive play, reading, and activities to support learning.
• Attend required training and coursework for qualification with assessor support.

You will have adventures with our children through interactive play, activities, reading, and encouraging their curious minds – creating learning opportunities that support the children’s learning. With the support of your assessor, you will attend all required training and coursework for completion of your formal qualification. You will reflect and proactively use new ideas and initiatives, including feedback, to enhance development and learning.What we’re looking forCommitment to completing your apprenticeshipEnglish qualification GCSE Grade C / Level 4 or above or Functional Skills Level 2.
