Job summary

Bunny Run nursery in England is offering an Early Years Apprentice position to support high-quality learning, development, and care for children aged 0-5 years in a preschool setting. The role focuses on creating a safe, nurturing environment and building strong relationships with parents and carers under supervision.

You will work towards the Level 2 Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship standard, including Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours, with functional Maths/English skills if required.

Qualifications

  • Empathy and understanding of children under five.
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills with children and parents.
  • Excellent organisational skills and basic IT competence.
  • Able to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
  • GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe and secure nursery environment for children, staff, and visitors.

Job description

The Early Years Apprentice at Bunny Run nursery is responsible for supporting the delivery of high-quality learning, development, and care for children aged 0-5 years within a preschool nursery setting. The role involves contributing to a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children, staff, and visitors, while promoting positive relationships with parents and carers to support each child's development, under the guidance of the Nursery Manager and Deputy Nursery Manager. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a high standard of care, learning, and development for children aged 0-5 years
  • Maintain a safe and secure nursery environment for children, staff, and visitors
  • Build positive partnerships with parents and carers to support children's development
  • Carry out tasks as directed by the Nursery Manager or Deputy Nursery Manager

Working Week Monday to Friday

To hold or be able to achieve English and mathematics GCSEs at level C or above Personal Qualities Reliable, enthusiastic, and flexible A commitment to quality in all areas, with a high level of motivation and enthusiasm Able to perform under stress A creative thinker A good sense of humour Calm and caring nature

Training to be Provided Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. They will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day. You will be working towards the Level 2 Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship standard, which includes:

  • Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
  • Functional skills in Maths and English if required
