Job summary

Teignbridge District Council is looking for a Loader to join the recycling and refuse team on a permanent basis. The role involves moving, lifting and handling recycling and refuse containers and ensuring the correct materials are collected from recycling boxes and food waste containers.

It is a physically demanding job that requires a strong team ethos and commitment to safety. You will work 37 hours per week with early starts and the potential for overtime.

Qualifications

• You will have an understanding of operational health and safety, and have previous experience of working in a manual role.

Responsibilities

• Move, lift and handle recycling/refuse containers.
• Ensure the right recycling materials are collected from recycling boxes and food waste containers.
