Job summary

Driver Hire Southampton is recruiting reliable Class 2 HGV Drivers to support a prestigious new client in the Southampton area. You will drive a Class 2 refuse vehicle on fixed routes, loading waste bags and working as part of a friendly crew.

Shifts run Monday to Friday with start times around 5:00–6:00am and 7.5-hour shifts, offering early finishes and weekly pay. There is a £250 sign-up bonus after your first 10 shifts and opportunities to secure a permanent role after 12 weeks.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence required.
• Valid Class 2 (Category C) Licence.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Newly qualified drivers encouraged to apply.
• Good physical fitness and willingness to carry out manual work.
• Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious.
• Own transport to travel to and from the depot.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 2 refuse vehicle on designated routes.
• Carry out manual loading of waste bags.
• Deliver a reliable, efficient service with the crew.
• Work Monday to Friday with early starts.
