ROLE OVERVIEW

Our client is currently seeking a Biologics Early Process Associate Scientist/Scientist to join a leading biotechnology company based in West London. As the Biologics Early Process Associate Scientist/Scientist, you will be responsible for developing processes to produce biologics-based drugs.


KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the Biologics Early Process Associate Scientist/Scientist will be varied; however, the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. Independently undertake a range of biochemistry techniques to develop biologics drug processes from the bioreactor to the finished drug substance.

2. Generate timely purification experiments and conduct independent investigations into bioprocess development.

3. Assist with the purification and characterisation of proteins and develop new purification methodologies for Downstream Processing.

4. Maintain high standards of record-keeping and documentation, including laboratory notebooks, electronic records, and training materials.


ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Biologics Early Process Associate Scientist/Scientist, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in a related field such as Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a similar discipline.

2. Proven industry experience in antibody downstream processing and the use of AKTA systems and chromatography theory.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with process development, process technical transfer, and bioreactors.
