Job summary

Renfrewshire Council is looking to recruit an enthusiastic Early Learning Support Worker to join a team delivering early learning and childcare, including supporting lunchtimes and organising playrooms.

You will need to commit to the required qualification in line with SSSC: NC in childhood practice (SCQF level 6) or SVQ Social Services (Children and Young People) at SCQF level 6, or equivalent. Disclosure Scotland checks apply.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children and young people.
• Ability to communicate orally with children and adults.
• Caring, responsive and aware of the needs of young children.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursery officers in delivering early learning and childcare.
• Support lunchtimes and supervise groups of children.
• Help organise playrooms and activities to develop skills.
