A local council in Scotland is seeking a dedicated team member to provide quality early learning and childcare services. This is a full-time, term-time role based in Stewarton, requiring a PVG membership for working with children. The salary ranges from £31,377 to £33,579 annually, with specific working hours. Applicants from diverse backgrounds are welcomed.
Contribute as part of a team to provide quality early learning and childcare services for children aged 0-8 years and their families. Work in accordance with the principles of the national care standards for early education and childcare, and abide by the Code of Practice for Social Service Workers.
The duties involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants will need to become a PVG Scheme member for Regulated Work with these groups, or if already a member, undergo a PVG Scheme Record Update before a formal job offer can be made by East Ayrshire Council.

This is a temporary, full-time, term-time position based at Nether Robertland Early Childhood Centre, Stewarton.
The post is valid until 31 October 2025.
Work hours are 35 per week, Monday to Friday, with various shift patterns including early, mid, and one late shift per week.
The full-time annual salary ranges from £31,377 to £33,579; the actual salary for term-time work ranges from £26,911 to £28,800.
