A leading mental health service provider is seeking an Early Intervention in Psychosis professional to work with clients experiencing their first episode of psychosis. The role involves comprehensive assessments, planning care packages, and liaising with families and other services. This position offers an opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of young people aged 14-35 at risk of developing psychosis.
Work with clients who have suspected psychosis or are presenting with a psychotic illness. Undertake formulation and assessments, including risk assessments and specialist assessments such as SCI-PANNS and CAARMS. Plan, monitor, and review care packages.
The posts are within teams across the Pennine Care footprint, east of Manchester. There are five Early Intervention Teams, all achieving ‘top performing’ status at the National Clinical Audit of Psychosis (NCAP). The organization has secured additional investment to expand the psychological therapies service to people aged 14-35, including those with an at-risk mental state (ARMS).
To participate in providing high-quality care, involving assessing, supporting, and monitoring service users experiencing their first episode of psychosis or those suspected of developing psychosis. Work will be conducted in various community settings, liaising and co-working with other statutory and non-statutory services. The role includes working with carers and families of service users, including visits to homes, clinics, hostels, supported living, prisons, residential, and nursing homes.
The Early Intervention Team works with individuals aged 14-65 experiencing their first episode of psychosis or at risk of developing psychosis.
