Job summary

East London NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Mental Health Nurse for the Countywide Early Intervention in Psychosis Team serving Bedfordshire and Luton. The role covers both North Bedfordshire and South Bedfordshire areas and may require cross-county travel.

Newly qualified or preceptorship-trained nurses are welcome, with supervision from a senior practitioner. The post holder will manage a caseload under CPA, with driving duties and access to a car for business use.

Qualifications

• Pre-graduate mental health nurse in final six months or graduate nurse awaiting PIN.
• Willingness to undertake further training relevant to the position.
• Experience of mental health nursing in inpatient or community settings.
• Knowledge of MH Act 1983, MCA 2005 & Care Act 2014; recovery model; DIALOG+; CPA.
• Understanding of safeguarding adults/children and clinical governance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high standards of care and ensure care is evidence-based.
• Provide leadership and supervision of support staff and supervise students.
• Maintain continuous professional development and data quality assurance.
• Build trusted relationships with service users and carers and enable involvement in care.
