Job summary

The NHS East London NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a motivated Mental Health Nurse to join an Early Intervention in Psychosis Team providing community-based care for young people and adults with a first episode of psychosis. The role spans CAMH and Adult Mental Health services, with cross-county travel as needed.

Newly qualified nurses and those completing preceptorship are welcome; you will hold a caseload under supervision, apply CPA principles, and develop skills in risk

Qualifications

• Registered Mental Health Nurse with current registration
• Driving licence and access to a car for business use
• Experience or willingness to work in community settings (Early Intervention in Psychosis)
• Knowledge of CPA (Care Programme Approach) and risk assessment in psychosis

Responsibilities

• Deliver and maintain high standards of care.
• Provide care under CPA with oversight from a senior practitioner.
• Lead and supervise support staff and students; support continuous personal development.
• Ensure data quality assurance in line with Trust Policies.
• Promote equality and diversity in day-to-day practice.
• Opportunity to be trained in Behavioural Family Therapy, CAARMs, and psychosocial interventions.
