A local government authority in Worthing is seeking a Team Manager to lead a dedicated team supporting children, young people, and families. The role involves overseeing targeted interventions and collaborating with local schools. Ideal candidates will have strong leadership skills and a commitment to improving community outcomes. This position requires a focus on quality assurance and service development.
Early Help ensures that children and families receive accessible and co-ordinated support when they need it. This support ranges across a continuum from early identification and preventative approaches through to more targeted help where families are experiencing more complex or multiple difficulties. At every level, support is designed to address and reduce problems or challenges and prevent them from worsening.
As a Team Manager, you will be expected to lead, supervise, and oversee a team providing direct intervention to children, young people, and families through targeted support, partnership working within the dedicated schools team, or support to the Early Help Hub. You will lead the Dedicated Schools Team for Adur and Worthing, developing a good understanding of local schools, their needs, and challenges, and building positive relationships between early help and schools.
You will lead your team to assess the needs of children, young people, and families to access, coordinate, and deliver the support they need to improve outcomes and prevent difficulties from becoming irreversible. You will play a key role in the Early Help leadership team, contributing your knowledge and expertise to service development. Additionally, you will ensure policies and practices are followed through various quality assurance processes.
You will collaborate with peers across the directorate to meet the needs of children effectively.
