Job summary

GSL Education is seeking a Nursery Assistant in Shrewsbury to support early years learners. You will guide children through play-based activities, maintain safety standards and help with development tracking in a welcoming setting.

Entry-level applicants are welcome, with higher pay for Level 2/3+ practitioners. Training is provided, with a strong focus on team wellbeing and community engagement.

Qualifications

• No formal qualifications required; entry-level applicants welcome.
• Willingness to obtain Enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Guide children through play-based activities and daily routines.
• Maintain high standards of safety, hygiene and supervision.
• Encourage social interaction, independence and confidence in early learners.
• Collaborate with colleagues to track child development and communicate progress to parents.
