What We're Looking for in a KS1 and KS2 Teacher:

Even if you're just starting out, we value the practical experience and core qualities you've developed during your training:

Essential Experience:

  • Classroom Teaching: You've taught in at least one KS1 or KS2 setting as part of your teacher training (e.g., Year 3-6)
  • Curriculum Delivery: Confidence in teaching core subjects (English, Maths, Science) and delivering a broad, balanced curriculum
  • Planning & Assessment: Ability to plan engaging lessons and assess pupil progress using formative and summative methods
  • Behaviour Management: Familiarity with positive behaviour strategies that promote a calm and purposeful learning environment
  • Safeguarding Awareness: Understanding of child protection responsibilities and inclusive safeguarding practices

  • Passion for nurturing confident, curious, and independent learners
  • Resilience, adaptability, and a strong work ethic
  • Ability to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families
