Job Title: Early Careers Teacher (ECT)
Location: Sheffield
Salary Range: Up to £200 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are currently recruiting a motivated and confident Early Careers Teacher to join a nurturing and progressive school in Sheffield starting this September 2025. This role offers excellent support for professional development and is ideal for recent graduates or teachers in the first stages of their career.

As an ECT, your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Adapting teaching methods to meet the varying needs of learners.
  • Creating a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assessing student progress and providing effective feedback.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues, mentors, and support staff.
  • Embracing professional development and participating in school life.

Candidate Requirements for ECT:

  • Holds UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Passionate about education and eager to build a successful teaching career.
  • Strong interpersonal and classroom management skills.
  • Committed to fostering a positive and inclusive classroom culture.
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A CV covering the last 10 years with any gaps clearly explained.
