We are excited to offer an opportunity to join our award-winning Early Careers Recruitment Team as an Early Careers Recruitment Assistant Manager on a 6-month contract. This forward-thinking team is dedicated to delivering a best-in-class experience and enhancing the firm's diversity. The team comprises c. 30 in-house individuals and is supported by a recruitment process outsource (RPO) for screening and scheduling.

As an Assistant Manager, you will take ownership of the end-to-end recruitment process for Early Careers programmes within a specific business area. This will involve strategically managing talent pipelines to meet recruitment demands while upholding diversity, commercial viability, and a positive candidate experience.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Hiring diverse Early Careers talent across an array of student programmes; whilst delivering a leading experience for both your candidates and your business stakeholders.
  • Manage the recruitment delivery for a given business area(s), ensuring effective campaign planning, ongoing pipeline management, providing direction to the RPO team to execute outcomes, overseeing the delivery of final stage assessment events and the onboarding of new joiners.
  • Own relationships with senior business stakeholders to determine hiring demand and provide regular recruitment updates.
  • Enable the delivery of our Early Careers Talent Engagement strategy, by facilitating work experience events, attending careers fairs and school events (travel may be required) and delivering presentations to prospective applicants.
  • Monitor diversity in pipelines from application through to offer, identify and implement where necessary strategic interventions to achieve the firm’s diversity targets.
  • Execute and contribute towards post-offer engagement plans in order to retain top talent and ensure a high-class candidate experience.
  • Contribute to cross-functional teamwork, including supporting with projects and initiatives outside of your business area.

  • The ideal candidate for the role should have prior experience in managing and delivering volume hiring, preferably in Early Careers Recruitment.
  • Demonstrable experience in building and nurturing strong relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to deploy these skills effectively to drive influence.
  • Able to flex approach to think strategically and link activity with broader objectives, whilst switching focus to deal with operational detail where necessary.
  • Comfortable analysing and presenting data, whilst also identifying trends and drawing meaningful conclusions from analyses.
