As part of the DL Early Careers Degree Apprenticeship Programme, you will work as an Operations Assistant across various departments, ensuring our members feel safe and have an excellent experience, while on a development plan to progress into a supervisory role.

This exciting new role and aligned Degree Apprenticeship programme is aimed at college leavers seeking a career in the Leisure industry and an alternative route to gain their degree while working, without student debt!

What is the David Lloyd Clubs Early Careers Degree Apprenticeship?

As part of our programme, you will complete a Level 6 Sports Business Management Degree Apprenticeship with CMI Chartered Manager status, covering key business areas throughout the 3-year course. You will be mentored and supported by our Assistant and General Managers.

Business areas include:

• People Processing and Development
• Budgets and P&L
• Project Management
• Leadership & People Management
• Operational Management
• Strategic Management
• Digital Technology in the Sports Industry
• Member feedback

We are committed to supporting the progression of our early careers team members on this degree apprenticeship to grow into future managers. The programme is delivered in partnership with the University of Hertfordshire through a hybrid delivery model.

Places are limited, with the programme starting at the end of September 2025. Employment will commence prior to this date.
