Scope of Supervision & Interaction:

The Early Careers Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting the development and execution of early career programs, including, internships, work experience programmes and apprenticeships. This position will involve collaboration with various departments to attract, engage, and retain early talent, ensuring a positive onboarding experience and career development opportunities. Working strategically and tactically with the Early Careers Specialist and the senior leadership team to ensure our programmes align with group and corporate strategy.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support the pastoral care of individuals on defined early careers programmes - circa 90+
  • Ensure global HR policies and processes are applied.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of early career programs that align with organisational goals.
  • Coordinate, plan and attend various career and outreach events.
  • Support and facilitate training and development programmes for a variety of audiences.
  • Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team to identify, attract and retain a diverse talent pool of early talent through job fairs, university partnerships, and online platforms.
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment and onboarding process.
  • Ensure our early careers programmes are inclusive and attract a diverse range of talent
  • Work with the Early Careers Specialist to identify opportunities to utilise the Apprenticeship Levy to its full potential for both new entrants and existing employees.
  • Coordinate the onboarding process for new graduates and apprentices, ensuring a smooth transition into the company.
  • Support with the administration to maintain records and documentation related to early career programmes, including budget, schedules, and participant feedback.
  • Partner with the Corporate Communications Team to increase our brand awareness and
  • external reputation as an Early Careers employer.
  • Be an ambassador for Early Careers internally and externally, promoting career opportunities within the sector as well as within Parker Meggitt.
  • Work with our Business Resource Groups (e.g. STEM, Young Professionals etc) to achieve strategic shared goals and priorities.
  • Build relationships with internal teams and external partners, including universities, local schools and training providers.
  • Minimum Requirements

  • Experience in recruitment, talent development, or HR coordination.
  • Familiarity with early career programs and university recruitment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the UK Levy through DAS account.
  • Up to date knowledge and practical understanding of apprentice/skills development best practice.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communications skills at all levels.
  • A relationship builder with outstanding communication skills and the ability to listen.
  • Demonstrable experience of building brand presence to help in the attraction of top talent.
  • Ability to work independently with strong prioritisation skills in order to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR software.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Passionate about developing early talent and fostering a diverse workforce.
