Job summary

Mitsubishi Power EMEA in Leeds is seeking a recent Mechanical Engineering graduate to become a Supply Chain Engineer, helping to develop, source and improve engineering components and spares across the EMEA region.

You will review technical drawings, assess procurement routes and work with Engineering, Repairs and Procurement to determine local or regional sourcing decisions, while building knowledge of gas and steam turbines and power generation service technology.

Qualifications

• Degree or qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with clear reporting ability.
• Familiarity with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Interest in gas/steam turbines and power generation service tech.

Responsibilities

• Support regional supply chain development for engineering components and spares.
• Review drawings and specifications to identify procurement routes.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Repairs and Procurement to assess sourcing options.
• Develop understanding of turbines, materials and manufacturing methods.
• Identify opportunities to reduce cost, improve lead times and supplier capability.
• Assist in resolving supply chain issues from request to delivery.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Quality, Inventory and Logistics teams.
• Build relationships with regional and global colleagues across Leeds and wider EMEA.
• Support supplier and component development by gathering technical information.
• Prepare updates and progress reports for management.
• Develop broader project awareness with Engineering, Programme Management, Procurement and Commercial.
