Our client is looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Career Teacher of Psychology to join their expanding Social Sciences department at a mixed all-through academy in Ilford. This is an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified teacher with a passion for Psychology and a desire to inspire students at KS4 and KS5.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
As an ECT in Psychology, your responsibilities will include:
Planning and delivering engaging and thought-provoking Psychology lessons, primarily at KS5 (A-Level), with possible contributions to KS4 enrichment or Health & Social Care
Creating a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that promotes critical thinking and discussion
Assessing student progress and using data to inform teaching strategies
Contributing to curriculum development within the Social Sciences department
Participating in the school’s ECT programme and whole-school CPD
Supporting students' academic and personal development
Building positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
WHAT OUR CLIENT IS LOOKING FOR
The ideal candidate will:
Hold or be on track to achieve QTS by September 2025
Hold a relevant degree in Psychology or a closely related field
Have strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Psychology
Demonstrate a commitment to inclusive, student-centered learning
Be an excellent communicator with strong organisational skills
Be reflective, adaptable, and eager to grow professionally
Be willing to contribute to the wider life of the school and Social Sciences faculty
