Early Career Research Fellow in AI for Environmental Resilience
The University of Manchester invites applications for a post-doctoral Research Fellow in Artificial Intelligence (AI) to work on "Enhancing Environmental Resilience through AI-driven Analysis of Unstructured Data", a project funded by the International Science Partnerships Fund (ISPF) which is managed by the UK Department for Science, Innovation, and Technology and delivered by the British Council. The project will investigate how AI-based approaches for analysing unstructured data (i.e., large amounts of text) can be applied to:
We are looking for early career fellows from the Philippines with relevant research experience in the areas of AI, natural language processing (NLP), text mining, machine/deep learning or data science. A total of three fellows--one for each of the topics above--will be recruited.
The successful candidates will be based in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Manchester, and will be embedded in the Natural Language Processing and Text Mining research group. The full-time positions are available from 1 October 2025 for up to nine (9) months. We expect to hold interviews in early June 2025.
