Job summary

Fractile is seeking an Early Career Processor Architect to join our architecture team in the UK. You’ll learn to define compute engines, ISA definitions and programming models at the heart of our silicon, working closely with senior architects and design teams.

You’ll gain exposure to performance modelling, specification writing, bottleneck analysis, and pre- and post-silicon validation while mentored to grow into greater ownership.

Qualifications

• Foundational understanding of computer/processor architecture gained through coursework, projects, internships or research.
• Exposure to RTL design concepts and how physical design constraints influence architecture.
• Experience with performance modelling tools (Gem5, SystemC) or AI acceleration/vector-matrix compute is valued.
• Clear communicator capable of working across architecture, modelling, implementation, verification and software teams.

Responsibilities

• Learn to define compute engines, ISA definitions and programming models at the heart of our silicon.
• Collaborate with senior architects and design teams to model performance and optimise power and speed.
• Develop familiarity with pre- and post-silicon validation and contribute to architectural decisions.
