UK Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA) is offering a Graduate Process Engineer role on their graduate development programme. You’ll design and develop process systems for future fusion energy, applying engineering principles from concept to detailed design and implementation.

You will work with engineers across disciplines, supporting testing, troubleshooting and continuous improvement to optimise performance and reliability, while developing technical, project management and leadership skills

Qualifications

• Degree in Science or Engineering from 2025 to 2027.
• Driven, with a strong appetite to learn and take on new challenges.
• Able to collaborate effectively and communicate clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Well organised and adaptable with the ability to plan and prioritise workload.

Responsabilités

• Help design and develop process systems that support the future of fusion energy, gaining experience from early concepts through to detailed design and implementation.
• Apply process engineering principles to real-world challenges, including process modelling, system design, flow analysis, and the development of process flow diagrams (PFDs) and P&IDs.
• Work alongside engineers from different disciplines to solve complex technical challenges and deliver innovative engineering solutions.
• Support testing, troubleshooting and continuous improvement activities to help optimise system performance and reliability.
• Develop your technical, project management and communication skills through hands-on experience, mentoring and dedicated development time within our graduate programme.
