Skills, Knowledge and Aptitude

Desirable criteria:

• Computer/IT Research skills
• Ability to perform flexible cystoscopy independently
• Experience of teaching clinical skills to undergraduates

• Publications in peer-reviewed journals & recent involvement in research

Experience:

Essential criteria:

• Successful completion of core surgical training or equivalent
• Ability to fulfill all elements of the job description
• Ability to take responsibility for clinical care of patients and maintain continuity of care
• Surgical aptitude and attention to detail
• Support and supervise junior colleagues in clinical and procedural skills
• Understanding NHS clinical governance and individual responsibilities
• Participation in and response to Clinical Audit
• Experience within urology at SHO or equivalent level
