About the Role:
As a full-time Design Technology ECT, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and well-structured Design Technology lessons to Key Stages 3 and 4, covering topics such as product design, resistant materials, and systems and control. You will develop and adapt resources to meet the diverse learning needs of students, promoting creativity and practical skills. You will assess student progress through design projects, presentations, and written evaluations, providing timely and constructive feedback. You will also participate in the school’s ECT program, including regular mentor meetings and professional development, and contribute to departmental meetings.
Ideal Candidate:
You should hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Design Technology or a related field, with a strong understanding of design principles and manufacturing processes. Excellent communication and practical skills are crucial, as is the ability to inspire and motivate students to explore their creative talents. You should also possess a commitment to continuous professional development and a willingness to learn from experienced colleagues.
This permanent position offers a competitive ECT salary (MPS1 + Outer London Weighting), reflecting your qualifications and commitment to teaching.
