Job Description:

Rate of pay: £300 to £350 per day (negotiable DOE)

Contract: 6 – 12 month rolling contract

Location: Central London

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect gas/heating systems/appliances on commercial premises
  • Provide a professional mechanical engineering service, including specifying and designing new mechanical systems, inspecting works, fault finding, undertaking procurement, acting as contract administrator and project manager for mechanical projects undertaken by the council.

About you :

  • Possess excellent technical knowledge of commercial/communal heating systems. Ideally possess commercial gas qualifications. Skills to prepare mechanical designs for communal heating replacement works and manage retrofit and new build mechanical installations of communal heating, low carbon mechanical installations, understanding of heat networks and managing works of this nature.
  • Ability to write technical reports relevant to the role.
  • Ability to creatively solve engineering design and maintenance-related problems.
  • Possess excellent project management/contract administration skills to plan, programme, and deliver projects on time and within budget. Ensure projects are delivered cost-effectively and competitively, undertaking value engineering exercises throughout.
