Do you have what it takes to be a Car Transporter Driver? Do you live within 45 minutes of our Gloucester operation centre GL2 2SF?

Copart is the global leader in online vehicle remarketing and recycling, working with many of the world's leading insurance companies, banks, automotive dealers, fleet, and rental car companies.

Your home location will be Gloucester, but you will be required to travel to other operation centres to assist with holiday cover and increased workload. You will complete 3 to 4 overnights per week, for which you will receive an additional overnight allowance.

A Copart Driver loads, collects, and delivers predominantly accident-damaged vehicles of all shapes, sizes, and conditions on our salvage transporters. The role can be physically demanding. We work on behalf of our insurance and automotive customers, to service agreements. Drivers must carry out internal and external checks on their trucks and equipment, report any defects, photograph damage, and inspect all vehicles collected and delivered. Copart Drivers must comply with legal and company requirements, operate the vehicle and loading equipment safely and efficiently, and follow all H&S policies and procedures.

An average salary expectation based on 6 vehicle collections per day is approximately £41,400 plus an overnight allowance.

What we need from you:

• HGV Licence Class 1
• Current CPC
• A good understanding of EC Drivers Hours and Working Time regulations using a tachograph
• Driving experience in rural and urban environments
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Flexibility and adaptability
• Strong attention to detail
• Confidence in using handheld devices and basic IT applications
• Organisational skills to manage and adjust your working day
• Car transportation or recovery experience is an advantage but not essential
