Our wonderful charity client, Scleroderma & Raynaud’s UK (SRUK), is the only charity dedicated to improving the lives of people affected by Scleroderma and/or Raynaud’s. We aim to increase awareness and understanding of these conditions, support affected individuals, and ultimately find a cure.

The role

The Communications and Campaigns team is a newly established department within SRUK. This position of Senior Press and PR Officer will work closely with the Digital Communications Manager—another new, permanent role—and support the Head of Communications and Campaigns in implementing SRUK’s strategic communications and campaigns. As the first permanent Press Officer, this role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact, shape the future of the press office, and define how SRUK communicates with its audiences.

• You should have proven experience in public relations, media relations, or communications, with a successful track record of securing media coverage and building relationships with journalists and media outlets.
• This role requires the ability to develop and implement a comprehensive public relations strategy that aligns with organizational goals and increases visibility, working alongside the Head of Communications and Campaigns.
• We seek individuals passionate about creating positive change and making a real difference to the quality of services and support for people with Raynaud’s and Scleroderma.
