Job Description:

Keyline Civils Specialists is the UK's number one supplier of specialist civils and drainage solutions, and specialist rail and utilities materials. We’re part of the Travis Perkins Group, and proud to be recognized as one of the UK’s top employers since 2010.

We’re looking for individuals with the potential to be future leaders within our business to join us as a Sales Assistant. You'll be someone eager to work across all areas of our business with the ambition to build a long-lasting, successful career with us.

What will you be doing?

There is no typical day in Branch life at Keyline, but you can expect excellent customer service and a supportive team. You will gain exposure to various areas within the branch to discover where your strengths and interests lie and how you want to develop your career.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Helping deliver high standards of service by being helpful and friendly, building relationships with customers, often on a first-name basis.
  • Talking with customers over the counter and on the phone to take orders, provide quotes, and suggest solutions and products.
  • Using our point of sale systems, with full training provided.
  • Maintaining a tidy and safe working environment, with safety at the forefront of all activities.
  • Using your product knowledge to assist with inquiries, provide information, prepare quotes, and help customers with their purchases.
  • Being a multi-skilled team member, including outdoor work, gaining a forklift license, and participating in front-line outside activities.

This role is based in our Aberdeen Keyline branch, a well-established and competitive environment handling many customers daily. The team is friendly and experienced, committed to providing the best service in town. We welcome enthusiastic individuals with the right attitude towards our culture and safety, regardless of experience.

From the start, you'll be supported through our Keyline Civils Specialist Certificate, a 12-month Apprenticeship designed to equip you with essential skills. During the apprenticeship, you'll explore:

  • Our safety culture within the branch
  • The products we sell and services we provide
  • What makes us different and our position as the top choice for customers

Our apprenticeships focus on your development and include study time to achieve your qualification without impacting your work-life balance. We offer strong support through coaching, mentoring, and technical training, with opportunities to progress up to executive levels.

In 2022, we ranked as the 11th best employer of apprentices and 33rd overall, reflecting our commitment to development.

What’s in it for you?

Alongside gaining a new qualification and entering the industry, you will enjoy numerous benefits, including:

  • A competitive salary and annual bonus
  • Group Life Assurance and Pension Scheme
  • Discounts with over 1,000 retailers
  • Recognition awards, including 'In the Moment' and Long Service awards
  • Health & Wellbeing support, including Employee Assistance Program
  • Financial wellbeing tools via Wagestream App
  • Salary-deducted loans

We are committed to being an inclusive employer, ensuring everyone feels safe, welcome, and confident to be their authentic selves.
