Title and Summary

Overview
The Security Solutions (SSO) group leads Mastercard’s efforts to develop new solutions that build trust across four critical domains: Cyber Security, Identity, Fraud & Decisioning Solutions, and Experience and Disputes. Each domain focuses on specific buyer profiles with distinct needs and use cases.
The Product Commercialization team guides and enables effective execution of product development and go-to-market strategies for more than 110 products across SSO. Leveraging the Mastercard-prescribed Studio process, this team tailors commercialization and go-to-market guidance for every product initiative, ensuring all commercialization requirements align with Security Solutions' strategic priorities.
The Director of Commercialization reports to the Vice President of Commercialization within the Security Solutions Organization. This role is responsible for developing and managing the commercialization strategies for all products and initiatives within one of the four domains.

Responsibilities

  1. Develop, streamline, and navigate product commercialization processes, activities, and resources to bring products/solutions to market quickly and efficiently.
  2. Ensure adherence to the commercialization process and methodology to convert concepts, research, and ideas into viable products that gain consumer acceptance, achieve mainstream adoption, and generate financial returns on innovation.
  3. Coordinate with product managers and other stakeholders to support the product lifecycle, accelerate time to customer value, and drive better business outcomes.
  4. Develop and own complex go-to-market plans supporting multiple development models, tailored for global scale while considering regional nuances.
  5. Collaborate with regional teams to execute strategies and GTM plans aligned with priorities and revenue goals.
  6. Align and review product portfolios with global and regional teams to identify synergies and overlaps.
  7. Document and standardize processes to support knowledge management, ensuring consistency and repeatability.
  8. Create and position strategic and product narratives for the domain.
  9. Assess market landscape and customer needs in partnership with regions, optimizing product bundling and market strategies.
  10. Collaborate with regions, product teams, and customers to evaluate and expand use cases, and develop market-specific sales, distribution, and pricing strategies.
  11. Support strategic engagements with industry leaders, analysts, clients, and partners on topics like financial crime risk management, scams, digital fraud, cyber risks, and systemic risks.

  • Proven experience in driving product development and commercialization efforts, with the ability to align with new product requirements and accelerate time-to-market.
  • Strong understanding of product development and management principles; Studio knowledge is a plus.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into simple, understandable narratives.
  • Excellent communication skills across organizational levels.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills; proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid grasp of technical product development principles and financial concepts, including product pricing and business case development.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders across disciplines and geographies.
  • Demonstrated sense of urgency, accountability, and willingness to tackle challenges.
  • Strong project management skills.
