Job description

Southeastern Tool & Die, a family-owned manufacturer located in Aberdeen, NC, has an immediate opening for an entry-level Scheduler/Planner.

Overall Responsibilities :

• Provide support to all customers and communicate issues to the Program Manager. Assist in customer service operations, acting as a liaison between production, shipping, inventory, and customers to ensure excellent service and on-time delivery of quality parts per customer specifications. Apply attention to detail, noting and inquiring about irregularities. Forecast, plan, and schedule jobs; release products to appropriate departments; resolve scheduling issues; and report manufacturing job statuses to relevant departments including the Program Manager and Plant/Production Manager.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist with customer service tasks, including creating reports in Epicor 9 system such as job travelers (produced within 24 hours of receipt/input of customer purchase orders), packers; monitor job progress in Epicor; and oversee job closures.
• Set up jobs to replenish inventories based on TimePhased data, pulls, shipments, and daily needs reports.
• Generate reports to track on-time delivery, customer sales, open purchase orders, and upcoming jobs.
• Input inventory data and verify physical inventory when necessary.
• Communicate honestly and promptly (within 24 hours) with customers regarding inquiries or purchase orders via EDI, fax, or phone.
• Act as a liaison between departments to ensure the delivery of quality parts meeting customer specifications.
• Pull daily reports on order backlogs for each customer, such as the "jobs to be" report.
• Demonstrate strong initiative, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
• Maintain excellent organization, planning, project management, time management, and prioritization skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Education Required:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• An Associate Degree in Business or related certification with at least 2 years of scheduling experience in manufacturing is a plus but not required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and generate reports.
