Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying potential hazards and implementing effective safety measures.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement comprehensive safety programmes and policies in compliance with legal regulations.
  2. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify risks and ensure adherence to safety standards.
  3. Facilitate training sessions for employees on safety practices, including first aid procedures.
  4. Investigate accidents and incidents, performing root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences.
  5. Prepare detailed reports on safety performance, incidents, and compliance with regulations.
  6. Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety within the organisation.
  7. Maintain accurate records of safety training, incidents, and compliance documentation.
  8. Stay updated on industry best practices and changes in legislation related to workplace safety.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Safety Manager or similar role within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent report writing skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation.
  • Certification in first aid is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in conducting risk assessments and implementing corrective actions based on findings.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in root cause analysis methodologies.
  • Ability to work independently while also being an effective team player.
