KennedyPearce are partnering with a prestigious education and events company based in London. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant to join the London team on a full-time basis, up to 3 days in the office. The ideal candidate will support the finance department with day-to-day tasks, ensuring smooth financial operations. The nature of the work dictates that there will be extremely busy periods (particularly May-August) and with it comes a positive team spirit with everyone working together towards a common goal.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Finance Manager, your duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Processing the weekly BACS payment run
  • Processing the weekly international payments
  • Daily bank reconciliation
  • Recording incoming payments
  • Processing invoices, expense claim forms and other payment requests
  • Processing invoice and credit card payments to Xero
  • Processing refunds
  • Creating and editing invoices as required
  • Reconciling Petty Cash
  • Various finance team projects
  • Supporting the business with ad-hoc requests over the busy season
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations
Person Specification
Skills and Experience Required
  • Minimum four years experience within a similar role
  • Ability to self-motivate and work independently
  • High attention to detail with excellent data input accuracy
  • Good communication and IT skills are essential
  • Experience with Xero would be beneficial
  • Well organised with ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
  • Understanding of project codes/cost-centres for expense coding
  • Applicants are required to hold the relevant visas/work permits
