Overview

EMBS Engineering is working in partnership with a leading global precision manufacturer that supplies complex components to the Aerospace, Defence, and Power industries. Due to recent rapid growth, our client is looking for TIG Welders to join their manufacturing department.

  • Competitive hourly rate: up to £18 per hour
  • Day shift - 07.00 to 16.00 or 08:00 to 17:00 Monday to Thursday, and 07.00 to 12.00 on Fridays, with designated breaks
  • Overtime available at premium rates

Your responsibilities as a TIG Welder include:
  • Welding sheet metal and machined parts per procedures
  • Reading data cards/drawings for machine setup
  • Setting up machines with required tooling/fixturing
  • Completing welding efficiently to meet output
  • Skilled in TIG welding, measuring, and using hand tools
What experience do you need?
  • Minimum 3 years experience working on precision engineering components within an engineering or manufacturing environment
  • Experience working to Aerospace standards
  • Confidence in reading and interpreting engineering drawings with welding symbols/WPS
  • Capable of working with thin gauge materials (0.4mm - 1mm)
  • Experience working with small to medium-sized parts (12" - 14")
  • Experience in performing various welding techniques
