The Role

Palantir’s dynamic in-house legal team works to proactively address legal issues so that Palantir can continue to drive positive impact in the world. As Legal Counsel, you will be a key contributor to both the Legal team and the company as a whole. You'll be given open ended objectives and will find ways to turn them into outcomes. By focusing on the broad vision without losing sight of the details, you'll bring large and multi-phase projects to successful completion while prioritising team outcomes over individual wins. You are able to deliver complex information in an understandable way, and can manage high touch stakeholders in a constantly shifting landscape.

You are empathetic and able to effectively navigate a complex organisation involving a wide variety of audiences, including under time-sensitive situations. You are ready to jump into a deal at a moment’s notice and become an expert on the intricate details of the contracts that enable Palantir to implement its cutting-edge technology to solve real-world problems. You are passionate about conceiving and implementing scalable systems that increase your impact, and that of the in-house legal team, over time.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead negotiation and drafting on commercial and international government deals and transactions while supporting the continuous improvement of standard form agreements and legal processes.
• Advise on complex legal and business matters to solve a multitude of challenges across the company.
• Partner closely with international sales teams on deal strategy and enterprise level relationships.
• Assist in building infrastructure and processes to optimally deliver legal support in a scalable manner.
• Collaborate with Business, Operations, Finance, and Engineering teams to drive deals to execution.

What We Require

• Qualified lawyer with a minimum 3+ year post qualification experience at a top-firm and/or in-house, with a degree from a top-tier university/law school. Prior government and/or general procurement experience is a plus.
• Eligibility and willingness to hold Her Majesty's Government (HMG) security clearances.
