About the Role

Due to continued growth, we are looking for a pragmatic and collaborative People Business Partner who will provide a wide-ranging HR Business Partnering service to help build organisation and people capability and to be a key member of the Supporting Education Group People Team to help shape and implement effective people strategies and activities. This will report to the People Director within the Education Management Services (EMS) Division.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Work with the People Director to plan and implement HR strategy, initiatives and projects aligned to the SEG People & Business strategy.
  2. Provide strategic and day-to-day leadership to address the people priorities including talent and succession to ensure the organisation achieves its growth objectives.
  3. Lead and contribute on key HR projects and business transformational change i.e. organisation design/ reorganisations / consultations.
  4. Support senior stakeholders by using key people data and analytics to identify people priorities, inform decisions and make recommendations to increase employee engagement and retention.
  5. Coach and provide feedback to key business stakeholders on people management to help improve business efficiency.
  6. Build and maintain visible and meaningful working relationships with key stakeholders (internal and external stakeholders) and partner with the shared service People Hub and with Talent Acquisition and L&OD centres of expertise.
  7. Provide expert guidance and support on employee relations and/or conflict resolution to ensure consistency, legal compliance, and risk mitigation.
  8. Act as the business representative to ensure the “voice of the business” is represented when implementing new people approaches.

About You

Credible and experienced HR business partner able to work across multiple sites and able to travel to our offices in Bristol, Devon and London (and potentially internationally). Preferably CIPD level 7 or equivalent. Passion for getting under the skin of a business and to focus on business outcomes. Experience of leading through business change & transformation. Have a progressive, pragmatic & non-bureaucratic approach to HR. High quality stakeholder management and able to adapt their approach. Able to lead and facilitate projects and initiatives. Able to use data, metrics and evidence to inform and drive decisions and solutions. Every solution keeps in mind the best employee experience possible.
