This position is located at 54 George Street, Richmond, TW9 1HJ, United Kingdom.

Role Summary

To create a unique, innovative, and inspirational customer experience that embodies the Free People lifestyle and brand image, while maintaining all store operations and goals to drive sales and ensure profitability.

The Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager and the Assistant Visual Manager. They will maintain open communication with the District Manager to stay aligned with brand direction and focus.

What You'll Be Doing

People
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the team on leadership, visual execution, and expectations through consistent feedback, promoting ownership, strategic planning, and conducting meetings and training sessions.
  • Manage and motivate the team to deliver exceptional Customer Care using all available resources and initiatives.
  • Partner with the Store Brand Leader on performance appraisals, goal setting, and employee development.
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, and developing talent.
  • Lead by example to set productivity standards.
  • Mentor and problem-solve for the sales team, identifying internal talent for succession planning.
  • Foster a strong selling culture within the store.
Process
  • Maintain business awareness and drive sales to meet and exceed goals.
  • Collaborate with management to plan and execute weekly objectives.
  • Support scheduling and zoning to adhere to the Typical Week structure.
  • Uphold high standards for Customer Care, Operations, and Loss Prevention.
  • Prioritize and delegate tasks effectively.
  • Manage stock levels and sell-through through the restock process.
  • Communicate company initiatives and performance feedback to the team and district leaders.
  • Ensure stock room standards are maintained and act as MOD to oversee operational aspects.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures.
Presentation
  • Use weekly sales reports to analyze business results and develop strategies to maximize sales.
  • Delegate and execute weekly operational and visual objectives.
  • Train staff on visual standards and execution to ensure consistency.
  • Maintain awareness of brand aesthetic and communicate it to the team.
  • Provide feedback on product performance to the District Brand Leader.
