Job description

Buckingham Futures is currently recruiting Environmental Health Officers / Higher Certificate Technical Officers to carry out Food Premises Inspections across London. This project involves inspecting premises rated AE under the FSA Food Law Code of Practice, with the first phase running until June 2025. The role starts ASAP and is paid on an hourly basis (inside IR35).

Responsibilities:

1. Carrying out food hygiene inspections in line with the Food Law Code of Practice
2. Risk rating food businesses following inspection
3. Determining Food Hygiene Ratings for eligible businesses
4. Ensuring food business registrations are up to date and completing or providing registration forms when needed

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Higher Certificate in Food Control or equivalent qualification
• EHORB/EHRB Certificate of Registration (or equivalent)
• At least 10 hours of Food Core CPD in line with the Food Law Code of Practice
• Demonstrated competency in Inspection of Food Establishments (Cluster 4)

Before starting, you will need to provide copies of your qualifications, CPD certificates, and registration documents.
