Job description

PMO Analyst - Finance & Workforce Management

Location: Knutsford, Radbroke

Length: 6 months

PAYE only

Overall purpose of the role: We're seeking a highly capable PMO Analyst with a strong background in financial and workforce management to support our execution and oversight delivery function. Sitting within our BUK Portfolio Team, you'll play a key role in shaping financial clarity and workforce alignment across delivery labs, ensuring the right investments, people, and plans are in place to successfully execute a complex backlog of work. This role requires depth in portfolio-level financial and workforce oversight, ideally within a banking or large financial services environment.

Key Accountabilities:

  1. Work closely with Labs and Finance Business Partners (FBPs) to manage and communicate financial positions across portfolios.
  2. Support investment and workforce planning, ensuring alignment between spending forecasts, change initiatives, and delivery capability.
  3. Monitor and manage costs of change from a Strategic Investment (SI) perspective.
  4. Oversee financials for ongoing and forecasted delivery activities, providing insights and challenge where needed.
  5. Collaborate daily with key teams, including delivery labs and the Puna working team, to maintain an accurate view of financial and workforce metrics.
  6. Use tools such as Navigator, JIRA, and Excel to track and report on change delivery progress.

Key Skills:

  1. Demonstrated experience in financial management and workforce planning within a banking or financial services environment.
  2. A solid understanding of Agile delivery methods and experience working within Agile-aligned organizations.
  3. Experience working across multiple business units, not just isolated projects of change.
  4. Experience managing portfolio-level financials and workforce plans, beyond individual projects.
  5. Proficient in JIRA, Excel, and ideally experienced with Navigator.
  6. Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with both delivery and finance stakeholders.
