Over the past couple of years, the Nuffield Finance team have undergone significant programmes of change including the deployment of Workday Finance, Advanced Financials and GetPaid Collections as well as forming a Shared Service Centre to deliver credit management services for Nuffield Health's Hospital & Wellbeing Estate.
As a Cash and Banking Administrator you will lead the cash sub team, working in conjunction with the current wellbeing team leader in supporting the Cash Manager to ensure strong stewardship of the cash receivables function across all service lines.
Other key responsibilities include but not limited to:
Lead a team of cash and banking administrators, efficiently by motivating and mentoring individuals.
Creating a pleasant working environment and positive engaging team morale.
Conducting monthly 1-1's and weekly catchups.
Conducting training of team members to maximise their potential and work towards their goals that have been set.
Support the timely and accurate reconciliation of bank accounts, efficient processing of incoming receipts and related issue resolution.
Achieve agreed deadlines including month end reports.
Proactively manage issues including prompt escalation and related management of stakeholders.
Understanding current processes and looking at ways to streamline.
Providing support to the team in order to cover annual leave, apprenticeships support and unforeseen circumstances.
This role supports a key part of the month end close process.

To successfully perform the Cash and Banking Team Lead role, you'll bring significant experience in a similar role.
Other key skills we are looking for include:
Strong team leader with solid customer service and stakeholder management.
Good understanding and experience of accounting principles surrounding cash management
Intermediate Excel skills and proficiency with finance systems.
Experience of having driven team engagement and continuous improvement.
The autonomy to work independently
Being able to manage a large team with a minimum of 2 years' experience
Confidence with online communication channels and leading a team remotely.
