Join a leading college as a Personal Development Coach, where you'll support students' academic and personal growth. You'll work closely with teachers to help students engage, build essential skills, and succeed in their educational journey. This role is perfect for those passionate about motivating young learners and making a real difference in their lives.
Are you passionate about helping young people succeed? Do you have a talent for guiding learners through life's challenges and supporting their growth both academically and personally?
We're looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Personal Development (PD) Coach to join our team and make a real difference in the lives of our students.
As a PD Coach, you'll initially be embedded in our Construction Department, working alongside teachers and support staff to help students stay engaged, build essential skills, and move confidently towards further study or employment.
You'll provide a mix of pastoral care, learning support, and personal development coaching, with a focus on students with higher needs or those at risk of falling behind. This is a meaningful role where every day is an opportunity to unlock a student's potential.
Delivering engaging T-Mail tutorials, 1:1 progress reviews, and Century learning sessions to boost students' confidence in maths and English.
Supporting the tracking and monitoring of student progress, particularly those with EHCPs, Exam Access Arrangements, or at risk of non-completion.
Helping develop and deliver a dynamic, contextualised Personal Development curriculum that reflects real-world skills and challenges.
Championing assistive technology to promote independence and inclusion - from reading pens to Read/Write software.
Working closely with the wider Hub team, curriculum staff, and parents to create a wraparound support network for every student.
Playing a key role in our college enrichment programme - planning and promoting exciting opportunities that enhance life skills, wellbeing and community engagement.
Supporting new team members by acting as a mentor or buddy, and contributing to departmental reviews and training.
You'll be a natural motivator, a good listener, and someone who genuinely cares about the student journey. You'll be comfortable juggling priorities, having sensitive conversations, and using data to track impact. Ideally, you'll have:
Experience working with young people or learners in an educational, youth work, or pastoral support setting.
Knowledge of safeguarding, EHCPs, and student support services.
Strong communication skills and the ability to inspire and support learners from diverse backgrounds.
Confidence using digital learning tools and an interest in assistive technology.
A flexible, team-oriented attitude and the drive to go the extra mile.
At Cambridge Regional College, you'll become part of a college that places students at the heart of everything we do. We offer:
A supportive and collaborative working environment
Ongoing professional development and training
Opportunities to be creative and influence the direction of the student support offer
A strong focus on wellbeing, inclusion, and achievement for all
