Financial Planning Analyst (Sizewell C)

Location: London (hybrid working arrangements).

Employment type: Permanent full-time.

Employment basis: The role is expected to be full-time; however, we are open to discussing more flexible or part-time arrangements where possible.

Salary: Starting at £50,000 dependent on experience, plus bonus and other benefits.

The Opportunity

Are you seeking a rewarding career at the forefront of project development where you can make a real difference? Join our expanding Sizewell C (SZC) team and work on one of the UK’s largest megaprojects, supporting the UK’s climate change agenda and energy policy. Following the success of Hinkley Point C, the SZC Project is a nuclear new build in Suffolk, with planning approval and government support. The project has commenced construction and is seeking private investment. When completed, it will supply reliable electricity to 6 million homes for 60 years, aiding Britain’s goal of Net Zero by 2050.

We offer a flexible hybrid working model, providing necessary IT equipment for effective remote work.

The Role

We are looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented Financial Planning Analyst to join our Finance team. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a significant UK infrastructure project and help shape the future of clean energy.

You will support financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and provide analysis to guide strategic decisions across the Sizewell C programme.

The Skills
  • Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting, or analysis, ideally within infrastructure, construction, or energy sectors.
  • Strong analytical and Excel modelling skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage large data sets.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with financial systems such as SAP, Oracle, Power BI, or similar.
  • Professional qualification (or working towards): ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent (desirable).
  • Preferred experience in staff costs and FTE analysis.
