Are you a commercial Financial Controller looking to make a move that will give you a path to Finance Director in 2 years? Are you always looking to add value and find efficiencies in processes? The Head of Finance is a key position within this owner managed business. Partnering with the MD you will be the lead on all finance related matters. Managing a small team, you will be collaborating with the wider senior leadership team to deliver on the strategic objectives of this business.

Responsibilities

Lead all finance functions within the business and manage all financial and accounting operations including cash, debtor and creditor management.
Ensure timely production of monthly/quarterly management accounts and performance reports, including production of budgets and financial forecasts and report variances.
Undertake appraisal and evaluation of Board directed projects including strategic, operational, business development and capital investment projects.
Coordinate and direct the introduction of BI packages to improve visibility of management and department information.
Monitor internal control policies and procedures to ensure current business requirements are met
Provide a measured financial perspective when addressing operational and commercial issues/opportunities with managers and directors.

The ideal candidate will be fully qualified and have worked within a commercial environment. You will also have demonstrable experience of where you have added value to the finance team and wider business.
