Job description

Are you a commercial Financial Controller looking to make a move that will give you a path to Finance Director in 2 years? Are you always looking to add value and find efficiencies in processes? The Head of Finance is a key position within this owner managed business. Partnering with the MD you will be the lead on all finance related matters. Managing a small team, you will be collaborating with the wider senior leadership team to deliver on the strategic objectives of this business.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all finance functions within the business and manage all financial and accounting operations including cash, debtor and creditor management.
  • Ensure timely production of monthly/quarterly management accounts and performance reports, including production of budgets and financial forecasts and report variances.
  • Undertake appraisal and evaluation of Board directed projects including strategic, operational, business development and capital investment projects.
  • Coordinate and direct the introduction of BI packages to improve visibility of management and department information.
  • Monitor internal control policies and procedures to ensure current business requirements are met
  • Provide a measured financial perspective when addressing operational and commercial issues/opportunities with managers and directors.

The ideal candidate will be fully qualified and have worked within a commercial environment. You will also have demonstrable experience of where you have added value to the finance team and wider business.
