Boeing Defence UK Limited (BDUK) is seeking an experienced professional with expertise in Continuing Airworthiness Management to support the BDUK Aircraft Programmes Part M-approved organization, based in RAF Lossiemouth or Birmingham, UK.

This role will be crucial in ensuring compliance and airworthiness management for the UK MOD Wedgetail AEW Mk 1 acquisition contract, as part of BDUK’s Military Aviation Authority (MAA) Regulatory Publication (MRP) Part M Military Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (Mil CAMO).

The role involves obtaining relevant approvals to become a Form 4 holder and deputizing for the Mil CAM as necessary. Some UK travel will be required.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with a strong background in airworthiness management to contribute to delivering a key capability to the RAF’s Airborne Early Warning and Control fleet.


Position Responsibilities:

Reporting to the BDUK Military Continuing Airworthiness Manager (Mil CAM), your responsibilities will include:

  1. Leadership and Oversight
  2. Supporting the on-site Mil CAM in managing daily operations of the BDUK AP Mil CAMO at Birmingham International Airport
  3. Ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of the Wedgetail AEW Mk 1 acquisition contract, maintaining strict regulatory compliance
  4. Overseeing delegated tasks related to aircraft maintenance records, Airworthiness Directives (ADs), Service Bulletins (SBs), and modifications
  5. Coordinating the development and maintenance of the BDUK Continuing Airworthiness Management Exposition (CAME) and Interface Control Documents with relevant stakeholders
  6. Facilitating communication between Boeing MRP Part 21J Design Organisation and the MRP Part 145 Approved Maintenance Organisation (AMO)

Metrics and Monitoring

Developing and implementing metrics and dashboards to monitor performance and ensure continuous improvement.

Policy and Compliance

Leading the development of airworthiness processes, resolving audit findings, and ensuring effective use of the Safety Management System and Quality Management System, including audits and RCCA processes.

Regulatory Compliance and Modification Control

Monitoring regulatory changes, overseeing modifications, configuration control, and updates to the Aircraft Maintenance Program (AMP).

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • Experience with MAA Regulations and UK MoD airworthiness policies within an aircraft operations environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of MRP Part M and MRP Part 145 requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or willingness to apply.
  • Experience in developing compliance metrics, process improvements, and familiarity with logistics and maintenance tools.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems and international airworthiness standards.
  • Specific experience with the E-7 Wedgetail, Boeing 737 military derivatives, or Boeing 737 air systems.
