Make a Difference

The Medical Assistant will assist providers at an ambulatory healthcare site with patient visits, procedures, routine laboratory tests, referrals, and ensuring quality outcomes for the practice population. As an MA, you will participate in Network quality initiatives and best practice implementations.

Exceptional Skills and Qualifications
  • Graduate or certificate of completion from a recognized medical assisting program OR a High School Diploma/GED plus one year of medical assistant experience in a physician practice within the past three years.
  • Medical Assistant certification required within 6 months of hire
  • Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas, including cleaning and stocking supplies.
  • Room patients and manage an efficient flow of provider’s caseload.
  • Obtain vital signs, perform EKGs, and specimen collection as needed.
  • Document care using the EPIC EMR system.
  • Perform Point of Care Testing based on patient’s chief complaint and protocols.
  • Process referrals and medication refills.
  • Maintain positive relationships with patients, providers, and staff.
