Job description

Access Talent Group are recruiting for a Site Agent to join a Construction Company working on a range of essential infrastructure services to the water, energy (retail and infrastructure), transport and telecom sectors across the UK and Ireland.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead associated site team including Milestone supervision and subcontractors to successful completion of works.
  • Monitor site activities against target programmes reporting exceptions in outputs, delays etc.
  • Complete all activities with diligence and energy to maximise the time spent on site planning and supervising works.
  • Ensure adequate records are maintained through site photographs, daily diaries and as built drawings.
  • Carry out daily site briefings and supervise sub-contractor task briefings.
  • Monitor all works activities to ensure they meet the Works Specification and are being delivered in a safe manner following the principles of Injury Free Environment (IFE).
  • Attend client meetings to provide them with a delivery update and manage any adverse issues.
  • Write and maintain contract programme.
  • Formal communications to clients and subcontractors including but not limited to Early Warnings and instructions.
  • Assist in the tendering of works including evaluation and selection of sub-contract packages.
  • Take ownership for safety and environmental compliance for your depot and ensure all identified actions are closed out within their timescale.

Candidate Profile:

  • A good level of experience in civil engineering and workforce supervision including earthworks, drainage, structures and Highways.
  • A good level of commercial acumen to facilitate cost control.
  • Effective team management, leadership and influencing skills to get the best from everyone.
  • Excellent customer skills and the ability to demonstrate influencing in all situations.
  • The ability to drive excellent relationships with contacts at all levels including the client and colleagues.
  • The ability to remain flexible in your approach to the role whilst embracing change and helping to drive that change through.
  • Experience of working on NEC3 contracts including the mechanisms for notifications.
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written – to ensure clarity in all situations and to effectively influence client decision making.
  • Highly organised and able to juggle priorities, whilst multi-tasking for many stakeholders, and still remaining focused on what’s most important.
